Welcome to Ego Studios...

Ego is a creative technologist and digital artist based in Melbourne, Australia. He works across all manner of new media forms including interactive and immersive installation, mobile and browser -based works, audio-visual performance, projection mapping, augmented and virtual reality, as well as traditional screen-based works (video and animation), photography, print and graphic design.

For over 10 years Ego has sat on the bleeding edge of digital creativity, forging new approaches and techniques in works for himself, Ego Studio clients and community projects, amassing a mind-twisting catalog of work that includes; audio-reactive video games for DJs, animated street-posters for musicians, trampoline-powered flight simulators for schools, large mapped projections at Sydney’s Vivid Festival, audio-visual performances at the likes of Splendour and Falls Festival, live painted x projection mapped stage shows with mural artist Claire Foxton and Tkay Maidza, and an instagram-sourced song and music video with Touch Sensitive.

As a visual artist he’s known for his colourful, high impact visuals, producing work for the likes of Matt Corby, Chainsmokers, Jessica Mauboy, DMA’S, Mat Zo and Nina Las Vegas. Visual designer on Groove Terminator’s ‘History of House’, winner of Best Music Show award at Adelaide Fringe, and his work with youth arts org Heaps Decent won a 2020 Real World XR Award.

He’s toured internationally as an audio-visual DJ, from festivals in South Africa to art galleries in Colombia, as well as main stages at Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass and Field Day. His innovative use of visuals within his sets saw global DJ brand Serato make him an ambassador for their software. Ego was an Australian finalist in the 2016 Redbull Thre3Style DJ competition.

Ego lectures in Game Design and Animation at Collarts in Collingwood, Melbourne, and spends a lot of time working with young artists via youth arts org Heaps Decent, and artists with disabilities at Your DNA Creative Arts.
